The Charles Finnigan family raised six boys and one girl.  Tragically, Marie Florence and her new born Sheila Aileen died of complications from an ear infection in 1937 and Charles Marcellus raised his family as a single parent.

All of the children attended college, the boys all served in the military, all were successful in professional careers and two founded technology companies.

Charles retired and moved to California in 1955 to be near his family of 26 grandchildren.
